– Missing link: only 6 out of 10 PR practitioners help to define business strategies

– Communication departments face major budget cuts, but a vast majority is optimistic 

– Internal communication and social networks are on the rise

- Evaluation: most practitioners measure neither investments nor business impacts

– 85% of European communication professionals are members of social networks

– Salary correlates with role enactment: “strategic facilitators” are leading
– More than 1,850 respondents from 34 countries name major challenges and developments
