Annual survey on future trends in communication management and public relations

   

European Communication Monitor 2010 - some of the insights are:

– Impact of the recession: 72% say communication has become more important in their organisations
- Resources: Only 22% were able to gain more finances and manpower, while 37% lost more than the average

– Job satisfaction: 7 out of 10 PR professionals are content, but job security and salaries are limited

- Leadership styles: Inclusive leadership correlates positively with satisfaction and influence

- Social media: PR prefessionals favour oline communities; only 26% believe in twitter and 17% in wikis

– Salaries have generally dropped since last year; 21% earn more than 100.000 Euro annually
– 1,955 respondents from 46 countries name major challenges and developments
