Annual survey on future trends in communication management and public relations

European Communication Monitor 2014 - some of the insights are:

– Impact of new technologies: 84% of communicators say they enrich their jobs; 73% report increasing pressure
- Job satisfaction: Interesting tasks and career opportunities are stronger drivers than work-life-balance
- Salaries: 8% of European practitioners report a base salary of more than 150,000 EUR
- Gender and strategic communication: Females are better at utilising digital technologies for the job

- Mobile communication: Every third organisation has implemented apps for smartphones or tablets

- Excellenct communication departments: characterised by different communication patterns and priorities
